It would help to remember that the kids' mom's name is Oxana, as implied by their uncle a few pages back.
I wanted so badly for Xan's dad to be the "doctor" to take care of the Hanna family. But, for one, he doesn't have a medical degree (why bother when you can instantly heal people?). Plus, he'd never settle down to take care of a hospital when he can travel abroad and play hero to victims of wars and disasters.
Alas, I can't interconnect things THAT well without bending a character out of shape.
